About the Author

Jeanne Althouse has been writing stories about secrets since her mother gave her a journal when she was eight. In search of mysteries, she has traveled to Narnia, flown through a Wrinkle in Time, and shared hot chocolate with Atticus and Scout. Her therapist has probed the question of why she is driven to write these tales of hidden sins and desires, but after years of expensive sessions, the reason remains a secret.

Her stories have been published in numerous literary journals, two chapbooks, and twice nominated for a Pushcart. She lives in Palo Alto, California with her favorite husband and snow tigers Sacha and Zara.
